The documents below represents the earlier designs for reference.

Construction Plan: Children's Farm at Stone Mountain's Plantation

Introduction

These several pages represent the current thinking (November 2000) for The Farmyard at the Plantation at Stone Mountain Park.  As a form to exchange information and document the Design Process, we are posting this design work representing
Task 2: Concept Planning.

It includes:

  • Site Context Layout
  • Exhibit Layout Plans
  • Barn Elevations and Sections
  • Outline Specifications
  • Program area take-offs
Also included are several "Case Studies" representing animal/visitor management ideas and one representing theming concepts and reference photos.

We think that this format is useful for this stage of the planning.  After Review of this document would like to schedule a "Review Presentation" to discuss the current plan and coordinate design schedules. This is a very important milestone which will allow us to proceed into Schematic Design Documents.
