Zoo Atlanta Redevelopment Site Plan
Zoo Atlanta Redevelopment Master
Plan was completed in 1986. Exhibit development has been ongoing
ever since. Mr. and Mrs. Lash continue to be involved with Zoo Atlanta
completing design projects on a yearly basis to continue to enhance the
visitor experience. The Rollins Family Children's Zoo Improvement
represents a privately supported exhibit cluster which implements a major
revitalization plan in one of the last remaining "old" areas of the zoo.
This plan seeks to weave water conservation and endangered habitat themes
with biodiversity messages within a children-oriented exhibit. Overnight
tented camp and outdoor education programs will be enhanced with this new
development.
